Flavor Variations for Baked Citrus Glazed Salmon

Want to change things up? Here are some easy salmon flavor variations:

  • Swap lemons for oranges or blood oranges for a different citrus note.
  • Add fresh herbs like dill or thyme to the glaze.
  • Use chili crisp or harissa instead of Sriracha for different spice profiles.
  • Try with green beans, zucchini, or broccolini instead of asparagus.

Substitutions for Honey Lemon Garlic Salmon

Make this gluten-free salmon dinner or adjust it to fit what you have on hand:

  • Honey → Use maple syrup or agave
  • Soy sauce → Tamari or coconut aminos
  • Garlic → Garlic paste or garlic powder
  • Asparagus → Any quick-cooking vegetable

Kitchen Tools for Making Glazed Salmon in the Oven

This baked salmon with honey glaze only requires a few basic tools:

  • 9x12 glass or ceramic baking dish
  • Small bowl for mixing the glaze

Don’t overbake the salmon. Take it out just before it's fully cooked—residual heat will finish it, keeping it tender and juicy.
