Happy Armenian / Orthodox Christmas 🤍 January 6 i Happy Armenian / Orthodox Christmas 🤍

January 6 is a reminder that some of the most meaningful celebrations are quiet ones rooted in faith, reflection, and family.

As we look back on 2025, I’m grateful for the lessons it carried, the strength it required, and the moments that shaped us in ways we didn’t expect. And as we step into 2026, I’m choosing hope, believing in new beginnings, steady growth, and the beauty of showing up with intention.

If you’re here for real life, simple food, family moments, and a little encouragement along the way……. you’re always welcome at my table.

Much love to you and your family.
I’m Armenian.
But this isn’t just an Armenian stor I’m Armenian.
But this isn’t just an Armenian story.

So many families carry their history through food, whether you’re Polish, German, Lebanese, Greek, or something else entirely. Across cultures, the kitchen has always been where memory lives. And sadly, many cultures share another truth too: survival in the face of unimaginable loss.

Time keeps moving forward.
But that doesn’t mean we stop teaching where we came from.

People sometimes ask why I talk so openly about my heritage.
The answer is simple.

I’m proud.

I’m proud of who I am, proud of my background, and proud that I get to pass that identity on to my children. I want them to carry it with confidence.

But pride also comes with responsibility.

My grandparents came here after surviving the Armenian genocide. And even though generations have passed, I still talk to my children about what happened, because if we want history to not repeat itself, we have to be willing to remember it.

We have to say it out loud.
So I keep cooking the dishes.

I keep telling the stories.
From Smyrna, to Kessab, to Armenia.

Because traditions don’t survive by accident.
They survive because someone chooses to carry them forward.
And I refuse to be the reason they stop.

Where did your story begin?
Let go of the self-doubt.
Let go of the comparison Let go of the self-doubt.
Let go of the comparison.
Let go of the belief that you have to have everything figured out by January 1st.

The truth is… you don’t.

You just need space in your heart to grow.
Space that fear and perfectionism often take up.
Walk into the new year lighter.
Walk in ready.
You are so much closer than you think.

This year stretched us, challenged us, softened us This year stretched us, challenged us, softened us, and taught us.

Maybe not always gently.
But always with purpose.
You survived hard moments…
you grew through quiet ones…
and you kept going even on the days you didn’t feel strong.

As we close this chapter, take a second to notice how far you’ve come.
Who you became this year matters.
And who you’re becoming next…
might just surprise you.

Do me a favor and follow @momsdinnerbell for more food, hope, and honest encouragement.

I cannot get this song out of my head. So… you’re I cannot get this song out of my head.

So… you’re welcome. 🤣

At least I gave you a simple recipe to go along with it. 😜

Have you ever made these viral puff pastry, garlic bread breadsticks?

It’s crazy how easy they are to make. I’m debating on whether or not I’m gonna add this to my website because it’s super self-explanatory so I don’t know if it actually needs a recipe.

If you haven’t tried it yet now is your time to do it! 😘

If you need a super easy, super fresh appetizer fo If you need a super easy, super fresh appetizer for the holidays… this bruschetta is it.

It’s the one I make every year because it always turns out, it travels well, it looks pretty, and honestly, people devour it. Plus, you can prep everything ahead of time, which makes life so much easier when things feel busy.

Save this one… you’ll be glad you did.

Here’s exactly how to make it:
Ingredients:
• Thinly sliced baguette (cut on a slight angle)
• ¼ cup olive oil to brush the crostini
• 5 cups Roma tomatoes, diced
• ¼ cup fresh basil, finely chopped
• 3 tablespoon minced garlic
• 2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• 2 teaspoon olive oil for the tomato mixture
• ⅓ cup Parmesan cheese (optional)
• Balsamic glaze (optional but so good)

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
2. Slice baguette thin, brush with olive oil.
3. Bake about 5 minutes — lightly crisp but still soft in the middle.
4. Mix tomatoes, basil, garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil, and Parmesan if you like it cheesy.
5. Spoon over crostini or just set it out as a dip with warm bread.
6. Drizzle with balsamic glaze if you love that sweet tang.

Easy swaps:
• Cherry tomatoes work great too
• Swap basil for parsley/oregano
• Add mini mozzarella balls to make it heartier
• Use gluten-free baguette if needed

This is such a perfect holiday appetizer, pretty, fresh, and no reheating required. Make it ahead, bring it to any party, and watch it disappear.

Here’s a thing… imagine looking back one day and r Here’s a thing… imagine looking back one day and realizing you were brave enough to go for it. You were brave enough to step into the uncertainty.
And it actually worked.

You did it.
You built the life you kept daydreaming about.
Maybe it started with a tiny vision, or a late night conversation, or a feeling deep down that you were meant for more.

You didn’t have the whole plan.
You just knew you shouldn’t settle.
That you deserve to wake up, maybe not every day, but most days, and think “I am where I’m supposed to be. I didn’t shrink my life to fit my fears.”

And I’m not saying you need to quit your job today or flip your whole life upside down.

But if you’re constantly unhappy…
If you feel that nudge that’s something needs to change…
If you’re finding your unhappiness is affecting your family’s happiness….
Then listen to it.

Here’s the deal… we aren’t here forever.
And you deserve to look back someday and think

“That was a wild, beautiful ride.”

not…

“I wish I would have.”
