I had to jump on this #tb2016 trend. 💕🫶 So much h I had to jump on this #tb2016 trend. 💕🫶

So much has changed. Many I would not have ever predicted. School changes, job changes, my mom no longer in memories going forward.

This is a great reminder.
Take lots of pictures.
Cherish the moments, both big and small.

Life will be full of ups and downs. It’s not about quantity of time, but about quality of time. What will you do with yours? What will you make of it all? 💕

This loaf pan c Episode 4 of What’s for Dinner 🍽️

This loaf pan chicken shawarma costs about $13 to make for my family of five, and it’s one of those recipes that feels way more impressive than the effort it takes.

Juicy, flavorful chicken made right in a loaf pan, then sliced and turned into the easiest shawarma-style sandwiches with whatever toppings you love — hummus, onions, pickles, tomatoes… all fair game.

Chicken Shawarma Cost Breakdown (Affordable Family Dinner)

Chicken breasts (3 lb at $2.49/lb): $6.22
Greek yogurt (½ cup): $0.50
Shawarma spices and seasonings (estimated pantry cost): $1.00
Butter (½ stick): $0.75
flat bread: $1.99
Toppings: $2.50

Total estimated cost: $13.00

Cost per serving (5 servings): about $2.60 per serving

You could also eat the shawarma over salad or rice.

Note: Spice costs are estimated assuming you already have basic pantry staples. Buying chicken on sale or in bulk can lower the cost even more. (I typically get my chicken for $1.99-2.99 a lb). This is Midwest pricing.

This is part of my What’s for Dinner series, where I’m sharing simple, affordable meals you can actually make at home instead of ordering out.

One-Pan Chicken, Rice & Green Beans

Total Cost for a family of 5 - around $10-$12 (based on Midwest prices).

This is the recipe that put me on the map.
Simple, familiar, and still one of the most made dinners in my kitchen.

Some meals don’t need reinvention — they just work.

This entire meal costs about $12-$13 to make for my family of five — and it’s one of those dinners that feels way better than ordering out. Best served with rice.

Sticky Soy Ginger Chicken with Roasted Broccoli

Simple ingredients, one pan in the oven, and flavors everyone actually eats.

Ingredients used:
• Chicken breasts
• Broccoli florets
• Soy sauce
• Brown sugar
• Rice vinegar
• Sesame oil
• Garlic
• Fresh ginger
• Olive oil
• Salt + pepper

I even used the leftover marinade — brought it to a full boil — to brush over the chicken at the end for extra flavor.

Happy Armenian / Orthodox Christmas 🤍 January 6 i Happy Armenian / Orthodox Christmas 🤍

January 6 is a reminder that some of the most meaningful celebrations are quiet ones rooted in faith, reflection, and family.

As we look back on 2025, I’m grateful for the lessons it carried, the strength it required, and the moments that shaped us in ways we didn’t expect. And as we step into 2026, I’m choosing hope, believing in new beginnings, steady growth, and the beauty of showing up with intention.

If you’re here for real life, simple food, family moments, and a little encouragement along the way……. you’re always welcome at my table.

Much love to you and your family.
I’m Armenian.
But this isn’t just an Armenian stor I’m Armenian.
But this isn’t just an Armenian story.

So many families carry their history through food, whether you’re Polish, German, Lebanese, Greek, or something else entirely. Across cultures, the kitchen has always been where memory lives. And sadly, many cultures share another truth too: survival in the face of unimaginable loss.

Time keeps moving forward.
But that doesn’t mean we stop teaching where we came from.

People sometimes ask why I talk so openly about my heritage.
The answer is simple.

I’m proud.

I’m proud of who I am, proud of my background, and proud that I get to pass that identity on to my children. I want them to carry it with confidence.

But pride also comes with responsibility.

My grandparents came here after surviving the Armenian genocide. And even though generations have passed, I still talk to my children about what happened, because if we want history to not repeat itself, we have to be willing to remember it.

We have to say it out loud.
So I keep cooking the dishes.

I keep telling the stories.
From Smyrna, to Kessab, to Armenia.

Because traditions don’t survive by accident.
They survive because someone chooses to carry them forward.
And I refuse to be the reason they stop.

Where did your story begin?
Let go of the self-doubt.
Let go of the comparison Let go of the self-doubt.
Let go of the comparison.
Let go of the belief that you have to have everything figured out by January 1st.

The truth is… you don’t.

You just need space in your heart to grow.
Space that fear and perfectionism often take up.
Walk into the new year lighter.
Walk in ready.
You are so much closer than you think.
