I began teaching myself how to cook after getting married. There were many fails and absolutely disgusting recipes. I’m not gonna lie still shy away from pork roasts due to a little PTSD from making it.
Shortly after being married, we had our first child. He was ALWAYS hungry. I constantly had to come up with new ideas of what he could eat. Then came along my second born. He was super picky with what he ate. Now I have two kids that eat very different things. Throw my daughter into the mix and all of a sudden I have a vegetarian. She’s truly vegetarian, but she’s very picky with the meat that she eats and she prefers vegetables.
Fast forward many years later. Now we have that over signed up schedule with crazy activities every night of the week. I refuse to not sit down as a family every day together around the dinner table. This forced me to come up with busy family recipes to keep our family tradition alive.
In the summer were fortunate enough to live in an area where kids play outside like it’s the 1980s. Thankfully, my kids know when they hear the dinner bell ringing, it’s time to come home. Each night we eat together as a family and that’s why I called the page mom‘s dinner bell.
My Vision
My goal is to help provide you with resources to make things simpler for your family. I’m hoping that these recipes are something that you and your family will enjoy. Busy family recipes will help families continue their quality time around the dinner table together.
Thanks for being here. You’re helping to allow me to follow my dreams.
