Homemade Tru Fru (Copycat Recipe)

This homemade version of Tru Fru uses fresh berries, white and milk chocolate, and coconut oil to create a delicious frozen treat. Just like the store-bought version but cheaper and customizable.

Equipment

  • microwave-safe bowls
  • cutting board
  • Knife
  • tray with parchment or foil
  • airtight freezer container I used Secondz

Ingredients

  • 1 lb strawberries sliced (about a carton of strawberries)
  • 6 oz raspberries (about 1 standard clamshell container)
  • 8 oz white chocolate chips
  • 8 oz milk chocolate chips or dark chocolate
  • 2 teaspoon coconut oil 1 teaspoon per chocolate

Instructions

  • Wash and dry berries thoroughly.
  • Melt white chocolate and 1 teaspoon coconut oil. Dip berries and place on lined tray.
  • Chill 30 minutes until white chocolate is firm.
  • Melt milk chocolate with 1 teaspoon coconut oil. Dip each berry again.
  • Chill again or freeze. Once firm, store in airtight container in the freezer.
