This Caprese Flatbread recipe is a quick and delicious way to enjoy classic Italian flavors with fresh tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, and balsamic glaze on crispy flatbread.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 naan flatbreads original or garlic
  • avocado oil spray
  • 8 oz mozzarella freshly shredded
  • 1 tomato sliced thin
  • 4 ounces fresh basil leaves sliced
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze optional
  • Salt & pepper to taste (optional)

Equipment

  • baking sheet
  • Pastry brush
  • sharp knife or pizza cutter
  • cutting board

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the flatbread on a baking sheets and brush with olive oil or avocado spray.
  3. Layer with freshly shredded mozzarella, and then sliced tomatoes evenly across the flatbread. Sprinkle with sliced basil. Keep about 1 ounce aside.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Top with remaining 1 ounce fresh basil leaves. Optional- drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  6. Slice and serve immediately. Enjoy!
